Faux

November 29, 2015

When winter comes around, the faux fur comes out - and this season I thought I'd join in. I love the look of faux fur coats. They're so glam and yet so practical for winter as they are ridiculously warm! I picked up this beauty from Zara and I have fallen head-over-heels in love. Being someone who wears black all the time, I wanted to branch out and try something different. I love the autumnal vibes of the rust coloured fur. (My friend said I looked like a 'little red squirrel'.  It might be one of those things that you either love or you hate, but I certainly love it.

An Ode To Autumn

November 15, 2015

This is just an Autumn appreciation post. I love you Autumn. There is this cliche surrounding the season. For me, it's not about the Pumpkin Spice Lattes and the scented candles, it's about the beauty of nature, and the leaving behind of the past. It never fails to amaze me how beautiful our world is. The colours, the textures, everything about it is just so beautiful. Seasons don't last too long here. They come and they go, but when they're here I want to capture them and hold on. I want to appreciate what a beautiful world we live in. Something as simple as a morning walk in the country can balance all the chaos in your life, and make you feel at peace with yourself. So thank you Autumn for bringing such joy and beauty, and see you next year.

The Denim Skirt

November 11, 2015

I've been trying to get more into skirts. I am a jeans girl through and through, but sometimes branching out is a good thing, so I picked up this beaut light wash denim skirt from New Look. I have a love/hate thing with the whole 70s trend, but I like the look of a denim skirt and white shirt. It has a really classic and chic feel to it, and is perfect for a dressed up, but everyday look.

The Playsuit Of Dreams

November 08, 2015

Do you ever get fixated on a clothing item and feel as though you have to have it but your bank balance is screaming at you no. That was me with this playsuit. Although beautiful, I just couldn't justify the £48 price tag for the amount of wear you can probably get out of it in this country! Then an email popped into my inbox telling me that it was Topshop sale time, and to my amazement there it was, my coveted playsuit staring at me for only £20. It would have been rude not to. I adore how cute and girly it is. It has the perfect amount of 70s vibe going on, without looking too obvious. Bell sleeves are a weakness of mine so this was just right up my street. It's also such a versatile piece as it will look great in the winter with tights and boots, or with bare legs and sandals in the summer. So all I can say is thank you Toyshop for you incredible sales, you always manage to get me somehow!

Origins GinZing

November 06, 2015

I am currently sitting here having owned these products for around 3 days. However, I'm so impressed I just couldn't wait any longer to tell you all about them! I've been aware of the Origins GinZing range for a while, I'd just never bought anything from it. The other day I was in a CCO store, when I noticed that they did a pack with the full size moisturiser, a small eye cream and a travel mascara. It worked out cheaper than the moisturiser itself so just went for it as I'd wanted to try the range for so long. I have to say I thought I would like it, but I really am truly impressed by it.

                                           Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser
This is such a beautiful gel-cream texture, that when applied to the skin leaves it feeling silky soft and hydrated. I would say it best suits a normal skin, as if you were very dry I don't think it would be moisturising enough. I apply it morning and night and over the last few days, have just noticed my skin looking a lot brighter and healthier. It also has the most amazing scent, like Orangina if any of you have tried that! Overall I absolutely love this moisturiser and using it is a pleasure.

                                               Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream
This product is amazing. I am not very loyal to eye creams, but I do believe in using them from a young age as prevention is better than cure! I've tried a few eye creams in the past that promise to brighten and de-puff the eye,  but not seen a huge difference. I sleep well, but from stress get quite dark under eyes. Within the first use I noticed a difference in my under-eyes. They looked brighter and less dark which was just incredible. A few days in and my eyes are looking the best I've seen them in a long while. It is a light but hydrating textured cream, with a light shimmer; but I don't find it to be too noticeable when applied. All in all I love this cream and would recommend it to anyone wanting to brighten up their eyes!

                                                   Origins GinZing Brightening Mascara
This is the only more disappointing product of the pack. It's okay, but it's nothing too exciting. I've used better mascaras. I find the brush a bit big to grab lots of lashes. I will use it however though!

I can't find the original pack I bought, but here is something similar.

The A/W Bag

November 04, 2015

I am a bit of a bag hoarder. I love buying them and I find getting rid of bags, even when they're broken, a hard task. You might have seen I did a S/S bag (which you can read here), and I like to pick up a new bag most seasons, so for A/W I had my eye on something small but beautiful. I don't really buy too many bags from Primark anymore, as I find that they tend to break quite quickly, but I saw this one and thought it was too lovely to leave! I've been lusting over the YSL Chain Tassel bags, but quite frankly they are so expensive I find it morally wrong - so this £7 version from Primark will do me just fine!  I love the black croc print detail and the tassel which make this the perfect A/W bag for a black and white lover like me. Having a small bag stops me from over-filling it to the point of breaking my back, and is the perfect size for carrying the essentials.

WHAT'S IN MY BAG?

Travel Cards

Lipstick/Lip Balm

The Room Tour

November 01, 2015

Doing up rooms is one of my favourite things to do. Since moving into the house I currently live in 3 1/2 years ago, I have re-decorated my bedroom in particular around 5 times. I don't know what it is, but I get an idea in my head and I just go for it. (Like the time I decided wooden floors would be  great idea and ripped out my carpet in a spontaneous moment with bare hands.) I've always loved Scandinavian design, and so for my latest venture, I wanted to for something that was minimal but cosy. I don't have an awful lot of space at all but I try and make the most of it by keeping things bright and adding a lot of mirrors to reflect light and make the space feel bigger. I have to say that I think this is the best design it's had yet, and I will hopefully be sticking to this for a while now, as I'm not sure how much more re-decorating it can take!
