If you spend a lot of time reading blogs, then you have probably seen this product many, many times. A cult classic, The Balm's 'Mary-Lou Manizer' highlighting powder is renowned for its beautiful glow enhancing powers, and it's super fine texture. I have to agree with all the reviews. This product is so beautiful. It adds a not too in your face but not too subtle sheen to the high points of the face, and is just generally a lovely product to use. The packaging is cute, and the mirror inside is just fab. All in all, this product really is the bomb.

On those days when the air is cold and the wind has an icy chill, you need a good coat to keep you warm. However, some of the prettiest coats aren't always the most practical. I think I've found a middle ground in this beautiful ASOS wool green coat though. Whilst being pretty, it also does actually keep you warm, which in a British January is something you really need! Most of the time I also wrap myself it what I like to call my 'blanket scarf, just for that extra added bit of warmth. The key to looking good whilst staying warm in winter is layers, layers, layers!

Ever since Kylie Jenner sent the beauty world into a frenzy over those lips, it seems many people have been trying to find out which lipstick is her secret weapon to the perfect pout. Now, I'm not saying I've found the match, because after looking at her Instagram far too much, I would say she wears a variety of lip colours. However, I do think that MAC Brave is a lovely, everyday Kylie style lipstick. It is a beautiful muted brown/pink, that is just perfect for so many makeup looks. It is a satin formula which is amazing as it's not drying but isn't overly shiny. I have Amelia Liana to blame for this purchase, as when she was wearing it I just couldn't take my eyes off it. I thoroughly recommend this lipstick if you want an everyday nude, with a bit of something special.

Don't you hate it when you spend ages perfecting your beautiful eye makeup, and then an hour later it looks like you might as well not have bothered? Yeah. That was me until I discovered this wonder product. I have tried a number of eye primers from highstreet brands like MUA to higher end brands like Urban Decay, but something that had always been on my radar but I had never tried was the NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. Although pricey, this product is just so worth it for the sheer fact that it actually works. For someone like me who struggles to keep eye makeup on and looking fresh throughout the day, this keeps my winged liner on for hours and my eyeshadow creaseless and vibrant. The packaging is pure luxe and all in all I just love this product.

When scrolling through tumblr and pintrest I get bit envious of all the effortlessly cool women with amazingly adorned fingers. This envy then led me to Urban Outfitters who's jewellery is always on point. UO always do the best jewellery sales , so I was hoping to find a few bargains - and it's safe to say I did! I'm talking £24 earrings for £3 and £14 rings for , yes , £3. So here are a few of the bits I picked up...

Who can believe it, it's now officially January 2015! The idea of 2015 seems like a far fetched future concept to me, sometimes I feel like my head is stuck in about 2007 and I can't quite believe how fast the years go. Like many people I always feel quite reflective at this time of year. There is a sense of sadness at the passing of one year, but then also a great sense of excitement and wonder and what is to come in a new year. 2014 was an absolutely manic year. When I look back at it I realise how much I achieved/did in 1 year and it just feels mad. There were some dark times for me, and I'm not going to sit here and pretend it was all amazing, because life isn't perfect and that is a fact. Equally though, there were some pretty amazing times too. I've travelled to different countries and been to new places. Theres been huge changes in my life, goodbyes, hellos, new people, new situations and it just makes me think how random life is. I don't mean to sound cliche but you really don't know where life is going to take you.

Looking forward to 2015, who knows what is to come. I'm not really one for new years resolutions, but I just hope to keep moving forward, meeting new people, keep blogging and enjoy life. I want to appreciate the good times, accept that there will bad times and live life. I know this whole post is probably quite soppy, but I just felt it was something I wanted to do for myself. I want to leave you with one of my favourite things I've learnt this year and something that I try and live by, and that is - Shit happens. It might feel like the end of the world at one moment in time, but tomorrow is a new day and no matter how long it takes, things do get better - it's just a fact of life.
