ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS DIP BROW POMADE

July 31, 2016

It might be hard to believe, but I have been filling my eyebrows in since I was about 12 years old. It all started when my aunt bought me an eyeshadow palette for Christmas and it contained this weird brown waxy thing that was meant for your eyebrows. At the time I’d never even heard of the concept of filling in brows. This was before the time of Instagram and there weren’t countless tutorials on how to get the perfect brow. Quite frankly I had no idea what I was doing, and looking back on pictures my brows were quite frankly – terrible. They say practice makes perfect though, and years later I would like to think my eyebrow skills have improved considerably. Now this might sound a tad extreme but one product that has absolutely revolutionised my makeup life is the ABH Dip Brow Pomade in ‘Medium Brown’. Never have my brows looked as good, and its all thanks to this awesome product. It takes a bit of getting used to but once you have mastered the skill it gives you the perfect natural but defined brows. It's probably not one for brow newbies though as it is quite tricky to use if you're not sure what you're doing. It’s waterproof and so doesn’t smudge around much during the day. It sets in place quickly and leaves your brows looking groomed and set. I honestly love this product I couldn’t see myself switching back to my old brow ways anytime soon. At first the £15 price tag may seem a little steep for the tiny pot, however considering I fill my brows in nearly every single day, one pot has practically lasted me an entire year so it works out very reasonably. I have just repurchased my second pot which should show you how much I love it! I buy mine from Beauty Bay and I couldn't recommend the service more. The delivery is free over £15 and the service is so fast and so reliable!

THE SANTORINI PLAYSUIT

July 26, 2016

The piece that I am showing you is something that I have been meaning to blog for over a year. I bought it last summer with the intention of sharing it with you all, but low and behold the British summer was quite frankly crap and I never got the chance to take the tags off – let alone wear it! The minute I saw this playsuit it made me dream of the Greek Islands. The blue and white colour matches the buildings of Santorini perfectly and I bought it with the dream that one day I would go there. It’s a fab little playsuit to throw on in a hot country and looks so effortlessly cute and chic.

Pink

July 21, 2016

If there is one colour that I never wear - it is defiantly pink. Forget wearing pink on Wednesday's, it's about a once a year event for me, but a more girly and feminine look is growing on me - especially for summer! I've blogged about this skirt many times before. It's a fail safe classic for me. I saw it in Vogue Highstreet years ago and bought it immediately after seeing it. It comes out every year in summer, and each time I wear it I feel very girly and cute. It's great for a summer evening here in Santorini, keeping you cool but looking good. Paired with a crop tee and a pair of sandals and you have a perfect pink summer look.

THE LEOPARD SKIRT

July 17, 2016

It's no secret that I am obsessed with leopard print. If done wrong, leopard print can leave you looking a little like Kat Slater (google her if you don't know what I'm on about...), but when done right, it can add that little bit of something special to an outfit. My rule with leopard print is usually to have it on one main piece, and keep the rest simple. Usually this means pairing with minimal colours such as black and white. I picked up this beautiful high waisted, leopard print skirt in the Topshop sale recently, and have worn it so much since. Paired with a band tee and a pair of grungy sandles, you have the leopard look that works well for everyday!

Hello, from Santorini

July 13, 2016

Last year I had the idea that I wanted to go to Santorini. Santorini is one of the many Greek Islands, and is meant to be one of the top places you should go before you die. After seeing countless images all over my Instagram and Pintrest feeds, I was sold on the idea of and knew I had to go. So skip forward and I am typing this blog post in my little greek courtyard, surrounded by white walls and bright pink Bougainvillea flowers. Quite honestly, I feel as though I am on the film set for Mamma Mia, and that any moment now someone is going to burst out singing 'Dancing Queen' around me. Anyway, being that Santorini is one of the most beautiful and picturesque places I have ever had the pleasure of being, I thought I would take it as a prime opportunity to take as many blog pictures as possible - so see the next few posts from me as a sort of 'Santorini Style Diary'. For those interested, I will also do a picture diary and talk about some of the best places to go on the island if you're ever thinking of coming here.

As a brit, I like nothing more than getting away for an actual bit of heat in the summer (considering when I left the country it was grey and raining!) and the weather in Santorini is nearly perfect! It's hot (about 26-30 degrees celsius) but there is a cooling island breeze which makes going out in the day bearable! Come the evenings  though, and it is the perfect temperature to stroll around in. I bought these striped culottes with me as I thought they would be the perfect thing to throw on for an evening out. Paired with this little ZARA crop top and I was more than comfortable to spend the evening strolling around the beautiful town of Oia, enjoying the sunsets and and eating my way through as much Greek food as possible!

SLEEK SOLSTICE HIGHLIGHTING PALETTE

July 03, 2016

Highlighting/Strobing is a 2016 makeup trend that has taken off monumentally. It seems that everyone is after the perfect highlight, with Instagram beauty influencing makeup mad mavens to get the brightest highlight going. When on a shopping trip with one of my makeup obsessed friends, she told me how I needed to buy the new Sleek highlighting palette. After one swatch of the iridescent glowing goodness, I was sold and knew I needed this palette in my life. Fast forward and I am now the proud owner of this beauty and have been testing it out for a few days now. The palette comes with 3 powders and 1 cream highlight. They are quite cool in tone and are very pigmented, so if you're looking for a subtle highlight this is not for you. For those of you though, who want highlighter brighter than your future, then look no further. The powders are soft and bendable and the cream would work well patted onto the tops of the cheeks.  The packaging is also BEAUTIFUL and is slightly charlotte tilbury esq. with the gold colour. All in all for £10 this is an affordable luxury and would work well for anyone who loves to highlight boldly.
