THE DUNGAREE DRESS

June 26, 2016

I have been meaning to blog this piece for SO long now as it has been a solid staple in my wardrobe this year. I'd been lusting after a pinafore/dungaree dress for a while, but the offerings from places such as Topshop were bloody expensive and I was trying to be a good adult and save money...someting which I know is good, but very hard when you're as obsessed with clothes as me!
I spotted this number at the back of my local Primark and made a complete B-line for it. It was nearly identical to the ones I'd seen elsewhere and was only £12 - win. I have had so much wear from this, way more than I thought I would. It worked so well in the colder months with little jumpers or blouses styled underneath. Even in the warmer weather it's a nice piece for layering tops underneath and wearing without tights. As I find with a few of the pieces from the Primark denim range - it is a bit short. By no means am I a tall person (5ft 3), so if I'm saying its short - you know it really is! Because of this it makes it harder to wear without tights, in case of any indecent exposure - but I try my best to work around it because it's so darn cute! I'm now dungaree lover and a full size dungaree set is on my current lust list...

CULOTTES

June 22, 2016

Culottes were a massive trend last summer, but something that I have to say, I overlooked. Being a perennial black skinny jeans girl I just assumed that culottes were not for me, and didn't really give them a second look. In seems this year, they have had a further resurgence, so I thought maybe it was time a gave them a go. Being 5ft 3 I thought they would  be quite hard to pull off and deadly impractical, however I've been pleasantly surprised and would now even cal myself a culotte convert. I picked up this beautiful pair from Zara's TRF range a few weeks ago and have worn them non stop since They go with nearly everything, are SO comfortable yet make you look 'put together' and like you've actually made an effort. I love the effortlessly chic look of these culottes so much, I even took my friend to Zara and forced her to buy a pair! I now think culottes are going to be a regular thing in my wardrobe...

Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things

June 19, 2016

As it appears, I seemed to have apologised for my absence on this blog quite a few times now, but this time I really am back. A lot has happened recently, so I'm here to update you all on what's been going on...

2016 has been one of the craziest but most amazing years of my life so far. I have achieved so much, more than I ever thought I could, and seeing as the last two years for me have been the hardest I've ever experienced, I am glad that there truly has been some light at the end of the tunnel. It's true to say that things don't last forever, and there is always hope that things will get better. This year a lot has changed in my personal life, but I've also achieved many personal goals. I've studied the hardest I ever have, I've achieved academic goals I never dreamed I could, I've travelled, I've loved and lost, but most importantly, I've lived life to the fullest. I've had to take a step back from blogging to be able to focus on the things that matter most, but now I am back for a summer filled of exciting adventures which I will be sharing with you all. There is more change to come in the next few months, however I hope now more than ever my blog will play a more prominent role in my life. Come September, if all goes to plan, I shall be taking an exciting venture into the industry I've always wanted to be in - fashion. It's through having this blog that it's taught me that this is what I want to do with my life and my career, so I hope for good times ahead. I've grown up with this blog and it's such a pilar of stability in an ever changing world. So again, sorry for the absence, but this time I am back and hopefully better than ever x

P.S - note the new blog logo! I thought it could do with a bit of a change up for summer - let me know what you think!
