Beauty Obsessions

Bondi Sands Tan
As a girl with naturally incredibly pale skin, I like to fake it till I make it. I've become obsessed with just becoming as dark as I can with fake tan without looking orange. I just feel more confident and summery with a tan, however I do envy girls who rock the pale skin look. I've tried quite a few fake tans, and I have to say Bondi Sands gives me the deepest most natural looking colour I've found. It doesn't smell too bad and it's really easy to apply. It's also not too expensive for a high-end ish tan at £15 for a 200ml bottle.

Exfoliating Gloves
These things have changed my life. Who knew the satisfaction that could be gained from watching all of the old fake tan and dead skin from (ew I know but wait until you've tried it...). They are better than any scrub I've ever used, and they only cost £1.Yes - £1.

Loreal Glam Bronze*
This is an odd product which I was sent by Loreal, and never would have probably bought myself - however I do really like it. It takes some getting used to but it is essentially a liquid bronzer that sets to a powder finish on the skin. It is quite warm in tone and can if applied badly look a little muddy/orange, but when applied right it does look gorgeous. It adds a beautiful glow and warmth to the skin. I find it's best applied with a beauty blender or contour brush for best effect.

Highlighter
It seems I've just become obsessed with highlighter in general recently. I love the healthy summer glow it adds to your face. My favourites have to be The Balm's Mary Lou-Manizer and Seventeen 3 Way Highlighter.

Life Obsessions

Whistles Phone Case
I've been on the hunt for the perfect phone case, and after weeks of searching I found it on Depop. It's by Whistles and only cost me £8. What a steal!

Peonies
You might be able to tell, but my favourite flowers are peonies. I've had a few bunches (my fave being the light pink ones) and have taken countless pictures of them as they are just so darn beautiful.

Orange Is The New Black
If there is one ULTIMATE obsession for me at the moment, it's this. It took me ages to get into as I felt a bit indifferent towards it at first, but now I''m just obsessed! I've finished all 3 seasons and am now desperate for season 4, however I feel it will be quite a long wait *sobs*. If you fancy a new series to get hooked to on Netflix, then give OITNB a try!

NARS Deep Throat

August 26, 2015

On the cheeks

NARS is a brand in which many of the items are droolingly covetable, and their blushes are something that have been hyped up for years in the blogging community. I had never tried one before, so to fulfil my duty as a blogger, I decided to bite the bullet and get one! I wasn't too sure on which colour I would pick, but after a helpful chat with the sales assistant I settled for Deep Throat (you have to excuse the crude names Nars give their products!). This was a blush I had heard lots about, with many people claiming their love for it, so naturally I had high expectations. I have to say though,  I have been left slightly disappointed. By no means is this a bad blush, it's just not what I would expect for such a hefty price tag. I would say the thing that lets it down is its pigmentation. When I use a MAC blush I find that I only need to hover the brush in the product and that is more than enough, however with this I feel it takes a proper brushing to get it looking how I want on my cheeks.  However, the lasting power of this blush is great, and the colour is gorgeous. Question is, would I repurchase? Answer - no, probably not. I would rather spend my money on a blush from MAC, or even the drugstore, but nonetheless it's still a nice product. What do you think of NARS blushes?

The Loafer

August 16, 2015

I've got a little into buyings shoes at the moment. I just love the way that a good pair of shoes can completely make an outfit. I picked up these black suede loafers from Dune recently and I adore the way they look. Paired with jeans and a classic white shirt, they're the perfect addition to a simple, everyday outfit. Black shoes are so versataille and can be worn with so many things. I now need to ban myself from buying any more shoes though....

MAC Lipstick Collection (Try On)

August 12, 2015

MAC lipsticks are possibly one of my most treasured make-up items. I love them because they come in pretty much any colour under the sun and the quality is the best I've tried. I don't own hundreds, but I have what I would consider a cult collection of the best colours. I don't like to buy tons of colours which I probably wouldn't wear, so keeping it small means you wear all of them. I would love to know any recommendations of your fave Mac lipsticks so feel free to leave them below!

Creme Cup (Cremesheen)
A soft nude/pink in a beautiful creamy formula. Well loved but not one I reach for a ton nowadays as I tend to prefer darker nudes. A beautiful lipstick nonetheless.

Brave (Satin)
Possibly one of my favourite nudes ever, Brave is a beautiful muted brown/pink. It's such a great colour that compliments many skin tones. It goes well with so many make up looks and is rumoured to be a fave of Miss Kylie J? I love this as it looks so classy and classic.

Plumful (Lustre)
Plumful is such a beautiful that I love to wear in the autumn time. It's a great every day shade that  makes you look put together without trying too hard. The only thing I wish about this lipstick is that it was in another formula as I really don't get on with lustres too well.

Lady Danger (Matte)
This was the first MAC lipstick I ever bought and I still love it to this day. A vibrant orange red, Lady Danger a perfect alternative to a classic red lip to have in your collection. Also even though it's matte it's still very creamy feeling and isn't drying on the lips.

Diva (Matte)
This is such a gorgeous wine coloured red that is perfect for the a/w season. It's the perfect vampy but wearable lip colour. Love.

Flat Out Fabulous (Retro Matte)
This is the most recent addition to my collection and I adore it! It's such a vibrant pink colour that is so flattering and eye catching. Even though it's a retro matte it isn't horrendously drying either. The perfect summery lip.

Ruby Woo (Matte)
This has to be one of the most cult classic reds of all time. Ruby Woo is a vibrant cherry red that suits so many skin tones. I love it so much, but I'm not going to lie - it's a dry one! It takes a lot of dragging onto the lips to get an opaque colour, so I tend to use a lip balm underneath to allow for an easier application and less of a dry feeling. Other than that though, this has to be my all time favourite  red.

Black Is The New Black

August 09, 2015

I should probably just have called this post 'how many more times can I wear an all black outfit and try and say something new about it.'  If you read my blog, you'll know that I wear all black a lot.  It's a fail safe. It's easy. And it almost always looks good. So I'm going to make it a short one as you don't need to hear me jabber on about my all black outfits anymore. One thing I will say though is 1. I'm in love with these new Nike trainers - they're insane. and 2. I'm also in love with this Diesel jacket. Blazers + Jeans = My new love. Enough said.

P.S - if you're in the Fulham/Brompton area I would recommend a quick visit to Brompton Cemetery (pictured).  It's peacefully beautiful and calm, rare for central London!

Columbia Rd.

August 05, 2015

Hello one and all, yes I am still here. Sorry I have been so MIA recently. Life just gets in the way sometimes and I hate that often my little blog gets neglected. *slap on the wrist for me*. However, I am back and have been busy taking pictures, doing things and recharging my creativity. A place that really got me back into wanting to blog was Columbia Road Flower Market. I went the other day and it was b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l. If you don't mind the crowds then you'll love the amazing and eclectic mix of cheap and colourful flowers on offer. Even if you're not into the flowers there is an array of beautiful london houses, cafes and shops to gawp at. I highly recommend. One word of advice though is go early - that way you beat the busy middle of the day crowds. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day in London so I threw on one of my favourite new dresses. I'm so into the whole boho/bell sleeves thing - I love it. Paired with some boots you have yourself the perfect chilled sunny Sunday outfit.
