British Weather...

October 28, 2013

Once again Britain hasen't failed to confuse the population with its weather. One minute everyone is sweltering in the humid mist, the next people are locking themselves indoors with a novelty Christmas jumper and and an evening of Strictly Come Dancing. This has lead to feeling slightly unsure in the clothes department as to what to wear. I have found the answer to this annual problem- layers. You can take them on an off as many times as you want , and you will be that person that is prepared for any situation the weather throws at you. (I wouldn't be surprised if we were gripped by a heat wave and then after this storm to be honest....).

Today I decided to layer up some of my favourite autumn/winter pieces. Tights, denim shorts and boots is a classic look that comes around every year. It is practical and keeps your legs nice and toasty, whilst still hanging onto the fact that you are wearing your favourite shorts from the summer! I've added a quirky patterned blouse with a collar nearly the size of my face, and a simple grey jumper! If it gets really nippy then you can throw on a cosy parka to keep you nice and warm.

Shorts- Car Boot, Belt- Thrifted, Blouse- Thrifted, Jumper- Zara, Coat- M&S, Boots- Topshop, Rings- Topshop, Primark, Kukee.co.uk and Beach Shop, Nails- Topshop 'Hidden Treasure' and Hat - Primark.
What pieces have you been enjoying wearing in this weather?
