Okay, I am no shoe expert. In fact, they say a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes, but I just seem to buy one pair, wear them to death and then move on. I thought it was about time I added a new pair into my almost non- existent collection and I am thrilled with the little newbies! Converse. Everyone and their cat's mum owns a pair, but I just couldn't resist them. They are so comfortable and go with soo many things! Being the skinny jeans and every shade of grey tops kinda gal, I thought that a white pair would be brilliant. I almost felt like I was rebelling slightly as when I was younger I would have to buy 'practical shoes' and white certainly isn't practical. (you can tell how exiting my life gets!) Just to let you know I did wear them out once before taking the photos and stupidly walked down a muddy path, flicking dirt on my brand new white trainers in the process, so please excuse the stains on what are supposed to be 'fresh out the box' shoes.

I bought mine in Office as I just love the shop. You can pretty much buy them anywhere though. I got mine in a 5.5, I didn't even know they made half sizes in Converse, so it was a pleasant surprise to know that a company had made shoes for people who's feet stopped growing at an awkward size in the middle of no-where!

They fit really well and the extra ankle support makes them so easy to walk in. They feel like the are cushioning your feet from the floor due to the nice thik sole they have, and the laces don't actually make them a nightmare to take on and off.

I juts love the sleek, American high-school design of them, and they are totally worth the money. They have a pretty similar price wherever you go of around £45 which I think is alright, although you are paying a lot for the brand.

Okay, so I know the 'What's In My Bag' tag is a little bit blogger typical, but just like many other people, I am nosey and what to see what other people lug around with them all day! I have been loving these sorts of posts at the moment, so I'm glad I have finally got round to doing my own.

So a couple of weeks ago I visited the Zara sale and bought a beautiful new bag. It's made of a really soft leathery material that just feels so luxurious to carry around. I think it's very Chanel-esque due to the colours and the way that they contrast with each other. This bag came in two colours, black and cream, but I thought I would be a bit different and get the cream one as so many of my bags are either black or brown, that I wanted something a bit more special.

I used to just be a hoarder and carry around everything in my handbag. I used to say that it was only because I wanted to be 'prepared for every situation'. I have now taken the attitude that 1. It is not good for the bag and 2. It is not good from my arm! I now try to keep things a bit more minimal so that my bag survives for more than a couple of months!




 So the first thing I pulled out of my bag was my beanie which is from Primark and I just love it. I like to carry it in-case it gets a bit nippy and my head is crying out for a bit of warmth. Next is my notebook which is from TKmaxx. I am a list maker. In fact, I like to make so many lists about the smallest of things, people might think its a bit strange! Finally I have just a plain black umbrella, as living in Britain means it rains a lot!
 Next I have my glasses and glasses case. The case is from a little independent boutique and my glasses are from Urban Outfitters. I have my purse which is also from Urban Outfitters and I just love it! I've had it for over a year now and it is still going strong. I got it for such a bargainous price. £20 down to £5! Finally I have my phone which is a Samsung Galaxy S2. I am no phone expert but all I can say is I prefer it to the Iphone 4!

 Finally I have my Make-Up Bag which is by Anya Hindmarch, and it was probably one of the best bargains ever. Bearing in mind an Anya Hindmarch make-up bag would set you back around £100, I found this in a Charity Shop for 30p! It is the perfect size and for a price like that, I just couldn't resist. In it is just some everyday essentials like some make-up (I have relegated the make-up I don't like into my make-up bag so I can use it up!), some headphones, my Ipod, a comb, some perfume etc. The make-up items I do recommend in there though, are the Kate Moss Lipstick in Shade 101 and the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil.

So I didn't intend to do one of these posts, but I got so excited whilst packing for my holiday (yes, packing really does float my boat), that I just couldn't resist showing you what I was taking with me!

Now, I'm only going away for a week and for some of you this might look like quite a lot, but I can assure you, I'm not taking as many clothes as I normally do when I go away, so I'm allowing myself to take a little more make-up etc. as I am enjoying mixing my make-up up a lot at the moment! (You fellow beauty lovers should understand!)

So first of all, this is the contents of my make-up bag. The bag itself is from Ted Baker and I just love it. It's the perfect size and I love the signature Ted Baker look of it.

So when it comes to foundation I couldn't just take one! So I'm taking, Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and Maybelline Fit Me Foundation*. I love all three of these foundations as they all offer something different.

For the face I'm taking two blushes, Topshop's Cream Blush in 'Head Over Heels' and MUA's Blusher in Shade 4. I am also taking my Sleek Face Contour Kit in 'Light' and my Collection 2000 Pressed Powder. For Eyebrows I'm taking my Sleek Brow Kit in 'Light', MUA Eyeshadow in Shade 19-Matt and MUA Clear Mascara (to set them with) in Shade 1.

Now when it came to eyes I decided to just take my Clinique Eyeshadow Quad in 'Plum Seduction' as it is small and gives a variety of colours. I am also taking my MUA Professional Eye Primer and two eyeliners, Loreal Super Liner Perfect Slim and Rimmel Waterproof Gel Liner. For Mascara I'm taking Rimmel Scandle Eyes Waterproof Mascara, Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara and Clinique High Impact Mascara as they all work well together.




 For Lips I decided to just take a simple pink (Kate Moss for Rimmel Shade '101'), some Vaseline and a vampy red (Kate Moss for Rimmel Shade '107').

For nails I couldn't quite decide (suprising?) so I ended up taking Essie 'Fear and Desire', Models Own 'Garnet' and Essie 'Bikini So Teeny'.

 My choice of perfume is Zara Women Black. Now, I have never owned a Zara Perfume before, but they are actually really nice. This smells just like 'Le Petite Robe Noire' from Guerlain and yet it's a fraction of the price!
And finally when it comes to make-up brushes I just kept it simple so decided to take some of my Real Techniques set plus one Clinique Powder Brush. From L-R, RT Contour Brush, Clinique Powder Brush, RT Detail Brush and RT Buffing Brush.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and spent lots of time eating and being merry! I'm so sorry I haven't blogged in a while, life has just been so busy at the moment that I simply haven't had the time, but in the new year I promise I'll get back into the swing of things!

Today is a very significant day because on this very day 1 year ago, I had the idea of starting a blog. Before I started blogging I didn't watch YouTube videos or read anyone else's blogs, I just had a love for creating outfits and messing around with make up looks. I started Love Vintage because I just wanted to post pictures and natter about what I had a passion for, and little did I know that it was going to be a success and that anybody would even read it. I just did it for me because I enjoyed it and I still would hope it is that way. All I can say to you guys is thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read about my crazy little ideas and babble about the things I like! So Happy Birthday Love Vintage, I can't believe you're 1 already!

I go off on holiday for a week now (phew, I need the break!), and I'll have little internet, but have a great New Year and I'll see you in 2013. This is only the beginning and the rest is yet to come.

FINALLY after over 10 days I have managed to get pictures to work on my blog! * Hallelujah!* so I shall now be back to blogging as always and I have so many posts lined up to do!

So after seeing a beautiful striped jumper in Topshop, but at the rather large price tag of £36, I oomed and ahhed about whether to buy it. 'Was it worth the money?' I thought, but, when I was having a stroll around the shops I came across a jumper very similar jumper in * surprise, surprise  PRIMARK. Also the plus point was that it was only £8! I bought it straight away and have not regretted it since!

It is a beautiful chunky knit, navy and white striped jumper. It is so cosy and warm and I have barely taken it off since I bought it. I got a size 18 as it was all they had left, but it fits really well as an over sized jumper. It looks amazing with a chunky knit scarf and a leather jacket, but it can also be worn over things like maxi-skirts and dresses. I think this is such a versatile piece and it was just such a bargain. Thank goodness for Primark.

I'm back with my November favourites and again, without trying to sound corny- where has the month gone?! It has gone so quickly but I am now oh so excited as its nearly CHRISTTTMAAAAASSSS!
Now it is December, I am allowing myself to get excited. In fact last night, I even lit a fire just to feel christmassy! But anyhow, I'll stop with the rambling and these are a few of the things that I have been loving this month.

 I adore this scarf so much that I have even written a review on it! It is beautiful and only cost £1! I got mine in red but there were a variety of colours available. It is not the warmest, but for a pound you can't complain!
