So many of us will probably have a plain shirt of some sort tucked away in our wardrobes which we don't wear too often but would like to, so I thought I would do this post and show a 'night and day' look using a plain pink shirt. Mine is from Primark and only cost me £3 in the sale! I am thinking about studding the collar so if I do I will be sure to do a post on how I did it!

Adding simple denim shorts and tights during the day and a 50's style skirt that compliments the colour of the shirt for night works really well! Adding tights and heels (or boots!) would work really well especially as the British weather is pretty rubbish!

It seems like I haven't done an outfit post in ages! (probably because I haven't...!) I wanted to share with you my amazing new find which is this amazing retro denim shirt. I bought it from a shop called Beyond Retro which are in Brighton, London and Sweden. They sell retro items that are just fabulous and quite reasonably  priced.  I think it's a mans shirt but as it has no label so I'm not sure even who it's by. It cost me £18 and goes perfectly with so many things. Wear open over a dress for a festival look or wear buttoned up on top of patterned leggings. Add creepers or vans for a casual but cool effect.

So as the weather is pretty grim at the moment I thought I would do a post on 6 beautiful lipsticks that will add a pop of colour to these grey days! Only in the last 6 months or so have I started wearing lipstick as an everyday thing. I never used to see the point but one day I thought I would give it a whirl, and I have never looked back scince. I tend to buy the cheaper lipsticks as I think they are a good way of experimenting with what colour suits you best, before you pay for really expensive ones. Frankley though,. I think £13 for a lipstick *cough* MAC *cough* is just ridiculous when you can buy perfectley could ones for around £5.

1. I love the colour of this lipstick. It is a beautiful coral colour and I only paid £1 for it! I bought this one as I wasn't sure whether coral suited me so I thought I would get a cheaper one first. It is a new addition to MUA's lipstick collection. I would say the consistancy is one more of a balm than a lipstick as it is quite slidy and not so creamy (I hope you get what I mean!) but for a £1 it is a bargain! I bought it from Superdrug.

2. This has got to be one of my favourite lipsticks! It is so creamy and smells AMAZING! Honestly, I could eat it. (that would be a bit weird though!) It is a very (and I mean very!) bright pink. Overall it is just fabulous and lasts well. I bought it on an offer for £3.99 in Boots but now it has gone back to it's normal price of £5.49 in Boots and Superdrug.

3. I bought this lipstick to see if red would suit me and I have to say I love it. I have the dark red MUA lipstick but to get then bright red one is great. It's just a classic colour that I think most people have and it really adds a splash of colour to outfits. £1 Superdrug.

4. This is my everyday nude lipstick. Again, it is so creamy and lasts well. The colour is beautiful and looks effortlessly gorgeous! £5.49 Boots and Superdrug.

5. This is the dark more pigmented version of the bright red MUA lipstick and I have to say it isn't my favourite. It doesn't last too long and is almost too pigmented. Overall it is still a good lipstick for the price though. £1 Superdrug.

6. This is my only Clinique lipstick and I would say it is really quite good. It's nice and creamy and rather pigmented. I don't agree with the name 'extreme pink' though as it's not as bright as I would like. It is a very good lipstick though. I got mine in a Bonus time pack but you can buy them for around £16.50 which I think is really expensive! If you want one try John Lewis or Clinique online.

So this is the first time I have done a favourites post and I have to say I had a great time preparing it! Usually I find that I don't really have many 'favourites' of the month as a lot of my beauty products stay the same, but this month I have found lots of new things that have exited me!









1- Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
I love this foundation, it is quite honestly the best I've ever used! It smells amazing; blends easily; is really moisturising and gives an amazing coverage! I bought it on offer for £6.99 but it is usually £8.99 from Boots.

2- E'spa Blended Aromatherapy Body Oil Collection
I have had these little babies for a while now but only recently used them again this month. They are brilliant for massages and baths and leave your skin feeling SUPER soft! Each bottle has a different property and they range from things such as Fitness Body Oil to Detoxifying Body Oil. They are quite an indulgence though as last time I checked similar ones were around £27!

3- St Tropez Everyday Body Moisturiser Gradual Tan in Medium to Dark
I love this product! I have never tried St Tropez before as they are quite an expensive brand, but since I was sent this free with ELLE magazine this month, I thought I would give it a go! It applies well, is quite moisturising and doesn't smell like fake tan. I'd say the smell was more like those fragrance stick you get, which can be a little overpowering at first! Overall though I would say this product is brilliant as I was really happy with the colour afterwards! I have fair skin and medium to dark does me brilliantly.

4- MUA Blusher in Shade 1
I love this blusher. It is a really pretty bright pink that is perfect for spring/summer. It lasts well and is a bargain at £1 from Superdrug.

5- Hollister Crystal Cove Body Mist
I love this fragrance. I never usually shop in Hollister, but have always liked their scents. When I was given this as a gift I was overjoyed at the fact it is one of the nicest smelling things I think I have ever sprayed on myself! I am using it instead of perfume at the moment. £12 Hollister.

6- Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
This intense moisturiser is fantastic. It really 'does what is says on the tin'. Leaves my skin lovely and soft and has a gentle cooling affect when applied.

7- IKEA candles
Okay, so candles might seem like a bit of a weird thing to put in a favourites post but I just had to include these. At 95p they are an absolute bargain and smell terrific. Highly Reccomended!

8- Original Source Chocolate and Mint Shower Gel
Judging by the emptiness of this bottle you can see how much I have loved this. I was slightly sceptical at first, chocolate and mint, is that a bit wired? But I assure you, this has got to be the one of nicest smelling shower gels ever! I love it to pieces and definitely want to re-purchase this!

Kate Moss lipstick in 20- I love this, the colour is an amazing bright pink and it smells amazing.
Nails Inc. London Nail Polish in Ebury Bridge- I love this beautiful nail polish, it has been my favourite this month. A gorgeous lavender/move colour, that looks effortlessly fantastic!

So today as I trundled my way around Primark I noticed this beautiful blouse/top reduced from £10 to £5. My first thoughts were 'AHHHHHHHHHH' as I had seen this top on other bloggers Primark Hauls. It is so cute with it's pleats and the pastel lemon colour is just adorable. One of the biggest selling points for me (other than the amazing price!) was the collar. At the moment I think I have quite a big obsession with collars (as you will see in blog posts to come...) and I just thought that overall it was an amazing top. Pairing it with a pleated pastel skirt and belt, and adding a vintage style knitted cardi, makes this outfit uber cute! Skirt £19.99 New Look Top £5 Primark Belt Primark and Cardi Hobbs.

Okay, so as promised here is my fake tan review. To be honest though I have probably picked the worst time to do this, as if you live in Britain it is raining and cold, and everyone probably wants to be wrapped up and in a pair of sweats than have their legs on show, but ho hum we can only pray! Anyway on with the review...

INSTANT TAN-
So this is the put it on and go tan. Quick and easy, it lasts a day and washes off when you shower. I have tried brands such a Rimmel and whilst they are perfectly good they are more expensive than the one that I use which unvelieveably is from Primark! Now some of you may be presume, what is she thinking?! But trust me Primark instant tan is actually rather good and only cost me an unbelievable 50p in the sale! It lasts well and has a good finish to it. You can buy it in matte or shimmer depending on what you like. Overall I would give this 4 out of 5.

Wear Off Tan-
So for my normal wear off tan I use St.Moriz. St.Moriz is basically a much cheaper version of St.Tropez. I haven't been using it too long but so far I would say it was really quite good for the price. I find the guide colour is quite orangey and can sometimes be a little patchy, but sometimes it looks quite good. Once you have showered off the guide colour it does leave behind a colour that is quite natural but I don't think it is that strong. I don't know if it because I bought medium and could have done with dark that it really isn't that strong, but I do have pale skin and was expecting more. Also it has the very common 'fake tan smell' to it, which I have to say isn't really that pleasant! It was £2.99 from Savers. Overall I would give this 3.5 out of 5.

GRADUAL TAN-

I don't often like using gradual tan as I can't see the colour I am putting on. I am always nervous that it will come out patchy or streaky and so therefor don't use it alot. If I do use it though I would use Garnier Summer Body. It doesn't smell like fake tan when applied (which is always a bonus!) and leaves your skin nice and soft. I wouldn't say the colour is that strong at first but I can see how you could build up a nice healthy glow. I don't think it is that streaky but I think it just depends on how you apply it sometimes. Overall I would give this 4/5.

Vintage Tin

Products from L-R - Clinique turn around body, body smoothing cream; Clinique Moisture Surge extended thirst relief and Clinique superdefense SPF 25 age defence moisturiser. I love these products as I unfortunately suffer from the dreaded dry skin and these moisturisers give my skin a real boost. I recommend the Moisture Surge as it is really cooling when applied and leaves your skin really rather soft!

Bedside Table

Vintage Tin which I think was my great-grandmothers! It has a beautiful floral pattern on it and I now use it to hold my make-up brushes, lipstick etc.

Recently I have been in utter love with earrings. I would love to buy so many pairs and just wear them all the time, but seeing as 1. Money doesn't grow on trees and 2. I think my ears would start to hurt if I wore them 24/7, I thought I would show you some of my favourites that I have seen on-line recently. You will probably notice a pattern emerging as my strong love is for drop earrings but studs are still a great jewellery staple! I think drop earrings look really good with messy long hair but look equally as cool with a bob or cropped hair. My favourites of them all are shown with an 'LV hearts logo' (Love Vintage hearts). I love the idea of an ear cuff at the moment so the leaf ear cuffs from New Look at £3.99 appear to be an absolute bargain, also the little boho cuffs from River Island £4, that have a cross and a peace sign on them are super cute! The leaf/feather...(i'm not sure what you'd call it- you make the choice!) are beautiful and a bargain at £3 from River Island. I also love cross earrings at the moment as they can look a bit rock-chick-esque and they are only £4 form Topshop. One pair which I am dying to buy are the drop arrow pointed ones from New Look and they are an amazing price at only £4.99! So recently I picked up these beautiful round sunnies in Primark for an amazing £2! I saw them featured on LOOK's website and just had to get myself a pair! They have a beautiful tortoise shell pattern and look dramatically round when worn!

So as the weather has been a lot nicer recently I thought I would buy this gorgeous white, detailed dress. It is so cute and has beautiful chest detailing. It has a keyhole back and a small tie at the front. It look effortlesy amazing and was such a baragin! One thing I would say though is buy it a size or two up, as I can usually wear size 6-8 but I bought this in a size ten as it looks much more flattering when more loose. Also it is quite tight around the stomach in a smaller size. Perfect for lazy afternoons in the sun or over a Bikini on the beach!

So today, I opened the front door, stepped over the mat and was greeted by this months ELLE magazine. My heart skipped a beat when I saw a beautiful mint green fabric peeking out from behind the plastic. I immediately grabbed it an unwrapped this amazing parcel. To my surprise, folded beautifully was the most gorgeous mint green, soft fabric vest by REISS. I couldn't believe it and I am absolutely thrilled with it. I have a monthly subscription to ELLE magazine so I don't know if this vest is just for subscribers or if anyone who buys the magazine gets it. If anyone else has received this please let me know if they do it in other sizes and colours ( I would say the size that was sent is about a 6-8!). I don't know exactly how much this would have cost but I looked on the website and a similar one costs around £29!
