You might have noticed that I've been doing a few homeware hauls recently. I'm currently in the process of redecorating my bedroom as it is in a much needed state of attention. I really like interior design, and planning how rooms are going to look makes me very excited! I've really been inspired by Scandinavian style at the moment, and this is the kind of feel I went for when planning my latest decoration project! Obviously, with IKEA being a Sweedish brand, it was a great place to find some great things in, so here is a look at what I've bought. When the room is finished if anyone is interested in seeing then let me know and I might just do a blog post...

Okay, I'm holding my hands up and admitting that I've basically posted this outfit on my blog already. Last year I became obsessed with this coat, and now it is cold enough it's back again. The new addition however is this beautiful grey jumper which I have been wearing to death recently. I love autumn/winter and the fact that you get to layer up and wear coats and jumpers, but I hate being cold! So please excuse the fact that yes, you may already have seen this - but hey, we can't all have a wardrobe the size of Alexa Chung's; and if it's a good outfit then wear it again with no shame!

Autumn make-up is one of my favourites. I love the flawless skin and the dark lips, the whole thing is just beautiful! For this make-up look I used:

Autumn is the best season to play with layering and texture in your outfits. I recently picked up a pair of faux leather jeans, and have been loving them. Styling them with an oversized tee and a chunky knit scarf is the perfect combo. I went for an autumnal walk in the forest and it got me very excited for the season ahead. Can I just start off by saying I despise the word 'haul', but I can't find anything which describes this better, so haul will have to do! I recently took a trip to one of my new favourite homeware stores, Tiger. Tiger is a Danish owned store with a really cool skandi feel to it's products. It sells a ton of things you never thought you needed (plant pot toothbrush holder anyone?), but also a lot of really cool bits and bobs for the home. I'm in the process of re-decorating my bedroom, so I picked up a few things that I thought would go nicely. Another great thing about Tiger is it's super cheap! Most things I picked up were around £1/£2 which is insanely good value. It's safe to say I'm going to be making many more trips to this shop...!

I'm obsessed with minimalist colours for the A/W season. A new combo of mine has been grey and white. I'm usually an all black kind of girl so this is what I like to call colour! I've also been loving wearing white jeans at the moment. I know they're usually a summer thing, but I think they can look equally cool in the autumn paired with a cosy knit jumper and a cute pair of shoes.

I feel I don't talk about make up enough here at Rox&Roses, so I'm coming at you today with a post full of all my current favourite make up items. I haven't bought a lot of make up recently, and have found that I've been using a lot of what is already in my collection. This is good for my bank balance, but I now have the itch - so if you have any recommendations of your current favourite make-up products, then leave them in the comments below and I might have to hit the isles of boots...!

I've already posted a review on this blush which you can read here. I said how I probably wouldn't repurchase this blush, but it has been pretty much the only blush I've been reaching for recently. The colour is so beautiful and whilst I have it I'm am definitely going to use it, but I reckon you could probably find something similar for much cheaper. Either which way though, it's definitely one of my current faves.

eBbay Foundation Brush + Brush set
I'd heard a lot about make up brushes on eBay, and it seemed to be a bit hit and miss. I was in the market for some new brushes, so thought for the sake of a fiver I would pick some up. I got a whole set of 10 brushes, and much to my surprise they are amazing! They are super soft, and are actually really good quality for the price. I've been using them over my Real Techniques brushes which says a lot! I don't know how long they'll last, and I've only washed them once, but so far I am uber impressed.

ABH DipBrow Pomade in 'Medium Brown'
This is such a hyped up product in the blogging world, and I have to say it is fab. It takes a bit of getting used to, and you have t use a careful hand, but I love the results it gives. It lasts all day and doesn't smudge very much at all, which means your brows can be 'on fleek' all day.

Dior Rouge Serum '455'
I've spoken numerous times about my love for this product, so I won't bore you. Just think uber  nourishing lip balm with the perfect healthy tint. Possibly one of my favourite lip products ever.

Rimmel ScandleEyes Eyeshadow Paint in 'Rich Russet'
I really like this product as it works well as a primer underneath eyeshadow, or just on its own for a simple eye make up look. It lasts a long time and is a beautiful neutral brown.








I have a few non-beauty favourites at the moment, the first being my new Macbook cover. I love all things marble, so when I cam across this marble macbook case on ebay I snapped it up. I've also been loving the Jo Malone 'French Lime Blossom' scented candle. I'm not quite ready for heavy winter scents yet, but I love having a candle on, so this is the perfect in-between solution. (For anyone interested my glass table is from IKEA, and that is also something I've been loving!)

I don't go vintage shopping very often now, but when I do I really enjoy it. I discovered a little treasure trove of a vintage shop in my local area and have found some pretty good things inside. I was filing through the trouser rack (my favourite part), when these little polka-dot beauties caught my eye. They looked small enough that I wouldn't fall over them (short girl problems), and were only a fiver! When I got home I put them on immediately and loved them. They're super high-waisted, so very flattering, and all in all I just love the way they look. It seems my love for vintage shopping may have been re-kindled...

Summer is drawing to a close here in the UK (there wasn't much of one to begin with), and I am trying to make the most of what's left by wearing a few of my favourite summer clothes. It's not really warm enough to get away with a lot of skin showing at the moment,  but nonetheless I decided to put on one of my favourite summer dresses. I'm not going to lie, I will miss the ease of summer, but I look forward to the a/w season, and all the adventures it will bring.
